Pride '01 Takes Second in GSA "You're the Best" Tournament!

On Saturday, March 19, the Cherokee Pride ’01 took second place in the GSA’s “You’re the Best” tournament played at SCRA in Woodstock.  They went 2-1 in pool play, defeating the Tomboys (9-2) and the West Cobb Xplosion ’01 (10-4) and losing a close game to the Georgia Pressure (2-0).  In bracket play, they defeated the Tomboys (5-2) to get to the Championship Game.  In a late night Championship Game, the Cherokee Pride ’01 was defeated by the West Cobb Xplosion by a score of 5-2.  Our girls played hard all day and into the night!  We are proud of their play and second place finish in their first tournament of the spring season!!  Way to go Cherokee Pride ’01!  Bring on the Spring!!
